I have a situation where a user upgraded from Office 2013 to Office 2016 on a Windows 8.1 x64 unit and then began having problems with their Outlook. They did some research on their own and Microsoft suggested uninstalling all Office versions and then reinstalling Office 2013 so they did. Now everything went well with Outlook in that all email address accounts were there and properly configured sans the Exchange box but no big deal we set that up and all is good. Except, all their rules are gone and they were extensive.
What can be done to extract the rules from their PST file creating a RWZ file to then be imported back into their current Outlook configuration?
It is my understanding the rules reside within the PST file but are not configured by simply utilizing that PST file again. In this instance the rules should have been exported prior to reinstalling Outlook then imported back in. This however isn't what happened. Help.
