Trying to recover calendar

Hello,

I recently changed my account from POP3 to IMAP. In doing so I deleted the POP account leaving the data file not knowing that the calendar was linked to the account instead of the data file. How can I get my calendar back. It won't let me accept anything to it at the moment.

I deleted the ost file and can't get my calendar data back - Carbonite claims they only back up pst files not ost - said I lost it all

They don't back them up because in the past, ost files were only used by exchange and all folders synced with the server. Outlook 2013 added the ability to set imap ost files as default - placing the calendar and contacts in folders labeled ' this computer only' - the problem is that they are only on the computer and are not backed up. For this reason, I highly recommend using a separate data file (pst) for calendar and contacts and set it as default data file.
