Wat do I do to view the send e-mails from Gmail? The mails are sent with an imap-account.

That's not the problem, I am familiar with sending messages in gmail. The problem is that messages sent via gmail are not shown in Outlook. Viceversa, from Outlook to gmail, there is no problem.

outlook 2013/2016 generally uses the imap server's sent folder while older versions of outlook handled the IMAP sent folder differently and would use the local sent folder - but it doesn't matter with Gmail as Gmail saves a copy of all sent items for you - therefore, all sent items should always be in the sent mail folder in the Gmail account and sync to all imap clients.

if you use pop3, then outlook would save a copy in the pst and gmail would also save a copy online - but since pop3 is inbox-only, sent mail won't download to outlook.

if I understand correctly, if I email someone from within gmail with POP3 to outlook 2013, then the sent email will not be downloaded to outlook?

If you have the gmail account set up as a pop3 account in Outlook, the sent item will be in the POP3 pst on your computer and gmail will add a copy to the sent folder online. Because POP3 only downloads the Inbox, the messages in the sent folder online won't download. But... if you added the account to Outlook as an IMAP account, the sent items online would sync down to Outlook.
