move mails after send to central mailbox-sent items folder

Goodday,

I am the sysadmin of a small company where people if they sent an commercial offer, there must be a copy automaticly sent to a central mailbox (no public folder) sent items folder.

We use Outlook 2010 and exchange server 2010.

In outlook I have created the accounts for both mailboxes. (user and central one)

When I create a rule what happens after sending emails (with Offer: in the subject) , i want to set the rule to move it to sent items of the central mailbox.

But outlook does not accept this.. only local folders are accepted..

Who can help me achieving this ?

You'll need to use a macro to move the messages to the folder if the users are sending the messages from themselves. If they have send as rights and select the central mailbox as the From account, you can use a reg value to save sent into in that mailbox.

See Sending Email from a Secondary Exchange Mailbox - the users need to have write permission on the sent folder plus send as permission on the mailbox.

Hi Diane,

I checked the regkey in regkey users/etc office14\outlook\preferences, it was there already. ( i thought that was the missing part..)

the user has permissions on the inbox and sentitems via outlook.

they have full mailbox access and send as permission from the exchange system manager.

but when I create a rule (what happens after sending a message) from the user's point of view, i still cannot select the sent items folder from the central mailbox.. (outlook does not accept this folder). What else can be wrong.. ?
