Accepting meeting request from calendar keeps the meeting request in the inbox

Hello,

When I accept a meeting request in my calendar (not from my inbox) the request meeting stays present in my inbox. But when I do it the other way around (accept a meeting request from my inbox) the meeting request gets automatically deleted from my inbox.

The following option is turned ON: Options -> E-mail -> Delete meeting request from inbox when responding
But this was not helping.

Is there any solution for this?

AFAIK, no, there is no way around it.

It's recommended you accept from the inbox for other reasons (which escape me at the moment) rather than in the calendar.
