Outlook 2007 - Slow opening folders when inserting attachments

Hi All,

Your assistance would be much appreciated.

I run Office 2007. When I compose a new message and I wish to add an

attachment I click on the paper clip icon, the "Open" dialog box takes close to a 30 seconds to appear, never ecountered this problem before.

Do you have network drives mapped? That is a long standing known issue. Outlook has to try and connect to each drive, even if you aren't getting a file from a network location.

If you are using Symantec End Point, Probably it is scanning your document. You can disable this feature using sep manager or you can disable from add or remove programs using change button related abaout SEP.
