Calendar updates wipe out personal notes.

I like to put personal notes in meetings I am invited to. However, when the meeting needs to be updated, say to add an agenda, my personal notes are wiped out when I hit the "Update" button. Is there a way to keep personal notes on a meeting that do not get wiped out when updates are sent?
 
No, not directly but you can use a 'run a script' rule to create a copy of the original version before the update.

If oRequest.MessageClass <> "IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Request" Then
- and include the body: oAppt.Message= cAppt.Message

In the rule, look for Update in the subject, so it only applies to updates.
 
Diane, thanks for the quick response. It's to bad MS does not even provide a warning on data loss! :( I don't do a lot of Outlook VBA, so I will take a look at the code and see what I can get to work.
