Hi,
I created a table in an Outlook2010 message using RTF.
In File>Options>Mail>MessageFormat,
"[ ] Reduce message size..." is unchecked.
"When sending messages in RTF to internet clients, " is set to > "Convert to HTML".
The recipient is using Outlook2010 and is on the same LAN, using the same pop3 email server.
(Although the same thing happens if the message is sent to an internet aol or gmail client.)
The table was formatted like this when sent:
aaaa | bbb | ccc | ddd
ee | | fff | ggg
| h | | iii
Note that the data within collumns 1 and 2 are centered.
When received, the data is shifted to the right side of the page,
the empty cells are lost,
and the entire row is centered.
The net effect is that the tabular format disappears:
aaa bbb ccc ddd
ee fff ggg
h iii
If I set ""When sending messages in RTF, " to "Convert to Text",
the table remains on the left side of the page,
the blank columns are replaced by tabs, so the spacing is better,
but the fixed character width text causes other collumn formatting failures.
To me, this looks like a bug in Outlook2010's conversion to HTML.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
