I use Office 365 Home Premium (Windows 7 Pro) and I am frustrated by the following glitch in Outlook Contacts: In Options/People I have both “Default Full Name” and “Default File As” set to “First, Last”. When I add a new contact and enter first and last name directly into the “Full Name” box and then click the “Full Name” button to open the “Check Full Name” box, the first name is in the last name field and the last name in the first name field.
When I add a new contact into the “Check Full Name” box and click OK, the name order is correct when I click OK. However, when I later open the “Check Full Name” of any contact and click OK to close it, the First Name Last Name order in the “Full Name” block is instantly reversed to last name First Name.
The only way to correct the name order is either to delete the contact and add it again, or to put both first name and last name in the first name field and leave the last name field blank.
I hope someone has a solution to this problem.
