We decommissioned out Exchange 2003 Exchange Servers about a month ago. That was not a simple process and had to be completed manually (adsi edit) since the add/remove programs would not cooperate and we could not locate the original media.

It was somewhat painful, but completed.

I am running the Best Pratices Analyzer on one of my Exchange 2010 Servers today and coming across a few errors... Before posting this I did search the forum and this was the closest message I could find related to my issues:

https://forums.slipstick.com/threads/23895-msx-2007-routing-master

These are the errors I get from the Best Pratices Report: Routing Master has been deleted". I also see "cannot connect to port 25 of the routing group master and last one, cannot connect to port 691 of the routing group master.

On my Exchange Server if I run the command "Get-RoutingGroupConnector" there are no results found. I have been navigating all morning in the adsi editor but cannot find any additional references to the decommissioned Server(s). Where else should I be looking in order to clear up these "critical issues"? From all the research, they do not actually appear critical, however I would like to prevent them from appearing without selecting to not show this again.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Have you seen this on the Routing master error: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996552(v=EXCHG.80).aspx

Check using adsi edit: Configuration, Services, Microsoft Exchange, Domain, Routing Groups, Domain area. Check properties for the domain and remove the distinguished names for any routing groups.

Thank you for responding.

I saw that link; when I used the best pratices analyzer it brought me to the same page. I do not have access to a console with Exchange System Manager (Exchange 2003) anymore to chang ethe master as that document states.

When I open the ADSI Editor on one of my Exchange Servers, I do not see a tab called "Configuration" . I thought this was strange so then went onto one of my primary Domain Controllers and found it there. This was good, however when I expand it, I do not see a Folder for Routing Groups. Could you be a little more explicit on where I could find this Folder?

I have been poking around (expanding different folders) to no avail.

Thanks again for your help.
