Outlook 2010 Archived Appointments Missing

I archived previous years' calendar appointments into psts (one pst for each year). Now, they are not showing up in the archive calendars.

I have checked to see if they were deleted, but they are not there. I have viewed in both calendar and list view for each pst, but both show none. I have reset my view, but nothing. I have closed my pst files, restarted, and reopened them, but nothing.

Also, I had never archived calendar items before. So, in the calendar list, the archived calendars have never appeared before. After archiving, they are now appearing, so something MUST have happened.

The mail items that I archived separately are included in the pst.

Exchange server
Win 7
Outlook 2010 (32 bit)

If there is anything else I can do or provide, please let me know.
 
The archive pst was added to the profile when you ran archive. You can remove it (right click on the archive folder, click Close) and change the setting so its not added to the profile. The archives will still be on the computer, but would need opened using File, Open, Outlook Data Files to view.

As for the missing appointments - are you looking in the correct archive folder?
 
I guess I was just being hopeful when I said that I was seeing the archived calendars listed under My Calendars...hopeful that it meant that the appts transferred as well and are just hidden somehow :(

Yes, I'm looking in the correct archive folder. The appointments should have actually been archived to different (and only) pst folders I have (i.e., those occuring in 2010 archiving to the 2010 pst, 2011 to the 2011 pst, etc.). So, regardless of the pst, each should at least have some in it, but they all have zero. Unfortunately, I archived three years' worth before I noticed that they weren't appearing in the archive...lesson learned.
 
Reset the view - if they aren't there, then i suspect they are gone. Right click on the original Calendar folder and choose properties. Then AutoArchive tab - check the settings and where they were archived to.

If that looks correct, do you use a smartphone? Were the appointments on the calendar before running archive? Some smartphones or calendar apps will delete appointments from outlook if they are deleted from the phone. (Blackberry was the usual suspect years ago.)
 
had no luck with resetting the view.

it was a manual archive, so i chose the archive pst...not there :(

unfortunately, smartphone isn't the issue. appointments were on calendar before archive and gone afterwards...not to be found anywhere :(
