I am using Outlook 2010. When I go to Account Settings/Data Files, I see the following two pst files: Documents/Outlook Files/backup.pst, and Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Outlook/Outlook.pst. The one in Appdata is marked as the default. They each have the current date and time stamp for the date modified, so Outlook appears to be keeping both of them up to date, and when I open each of them within Outlook, they appear to have the same data (emails, contacts, calendar, etc). However, the one in Douments is 1.45 GB and the one in Appdata is 1.81 GB. So I am curious why I would have 2 pst files, and if I can get rid of one of them. I want to make sure I am backing up the correct one, and also that I am not making Outlook work to keep two files up to date if this is not necessary.
Thanks in advance for any advise.
