Oulook always "disconnected" how do I keep it open all of the time?

In order to receive emails I have to hit the send/receive button. How do I keep

it open? It is becoming a pain to organize emails, delete emails etc.

Press Ctrl+Alt+S to open the Send and Receive dialog. Is scheduled send and receive enabled? Don't set the time lower than 5 - 10 min, the more email accounts you use the higher it should be.
