Calendar overlay... but not ALL calendars?

Here's another one that's probably a Pipe Dream... but I'll ask it anyway.

We use an outsourced PTO tracking system that allows us to link an Outlook calendar to a website to show our PTO schedule. As such my "standard" Calendar view is my main calendar, and my PTO calendar overlaid on top of one another.

Now, If I need to open a 3rd calendar, for example to see a colleague's schedule, it opens in the overlay view, which is cluttered with my stuff. When I go to un-overlay, I now have my calendar, my PTO calendar, and my colleague's calendar side by side.

So I close the PTO calendar to view the colleague's schedule... then have to reverse everything to get my main and my PTO calendar overlaid again.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to keep my main and PTO calendar overlaid, and have a third calendar open next to them both.

Any way to make that happen?
 
You can do that - click the arrow on the tab of the one you don't want overlaid (or on the one you do, if they are not overlaid right now)

How very odd... I see from your graphic exactly what i'm trying to achieve... but anytime I click the arrow to un-overlay... they ALL go side by side.

Maybe something's funky with my 2013 installation... I'll troubleshoot it is a problem.

Start with all 3 onscreen and side-by-side. Click the arrow on the one you want overlaid to overlay it. Is it working now?

If not something is goofy - and probably has been, as my Overlay button on the ribbon toggles just one, not all at once. (For some reason, I thought it was an "all or nothing" button)

This is with an Exchange account? I'll see if i can repro it.
