Numbering Your Contacts List - Is There A Way?

I imported about 600 contacts into my Contacts page on Outlook Mac 2011. Is there a way to number the rows so I can quickly see how many contacts are there? Like in an Excel spreadsheet?

Also, is there any way to add horizontal lines between the contact entries and vertical lines between the columns, for easier viewing?
 
If you divide your contacts into categories each category will display how many items in each category.
