Hello,
I have this IMAP account from an academic domain. There, the space given for me to use is limited, and I've been using Outlook 2013 to manage the e-mails I get from there, so...
I, for example, also have a Google Mail account set up on Outlook 2013 with IMAP, where I see this folder Sync Issues which is followed by (This computer only) on its label. This folder does not exist in Google servers, at least I cannot see it anywhere when I access my account through mail.google.com.
I was wondering, if it is possible in any way to manually create such a folder. What I'm trying to ask is:
Is it possible for one to create a (This computer only) folder, which does not get synced back to the servers of my mail service and remains as a directory directly within the data file of that specific account?
Switching to POP is not an option. I want the mails to get actually deleted on the server whenever I delete them on the Inbox I see on Outlook 2013, as well as get marked as read whenever they get marked as read on Outlook 2013. I just want this one additional folder which will be excluded from sync, i.e. a (This computer only) folder.
I will be using that as an archive. If nobody can offer any help, I will be creating a new data file to store my archived e-mails over there. Then another whenever I need to do so for another account... And the archives will also be located under separate roots than the account they were generated from... That's not good, but whatever.
