Help please. I was having trouble with an IMAP account as it had not created a "sent mail" folder and all of the sent mail was staying in the outbox folder. I followed these instructions:
For some unknown reason, this account probably needs a “root” folder. In File, Account Settings, double click the account then More Settings – Advanced. In Root folder path field, type Inbox.
Then all of the personal folders (all of my daughter's college application email folders!) disappeared. I went back in and reversed the root folder to blank but they did not reappear.
This is critical for my daughter as she is trying to finish her college apps and the data is all in those folders! Please help! How do I get these folders to show back up?
