Just curious if anyone using OL2010 knows anything about performance issues with it when using it in combination with EXCHANGE 2010? For example how much memory should it be using (as shown in TaskMgr.exe) ? Is there any kind of tool for checking to see if there is a problem? Does it have a troubleshooting/error log (local computer and not on Exchange)?
I've been using OL 2010 since last year and not had any performance issues with it till recently. I can’t tell for sure if it is OL caused or related or if its something else and OL is being affected by that. I do know that OL 2010 seems to be using a lot of my RAM when I load TaskMgr and check the OL process whenever it starts to hang. For example just yesterday OL was using over half the RAM on my system and all I had open was the main screen with the INBOX folder selected and 1 email open. There were no heavy images embedded or anything like that which could drive up memory usage.
I will add that we recently sync'd OL with Microsoft’s LYNC product and even have special phones that we pkug into our computer and that run thru the LYNC system. We also have SP2010 that is integrated with OL such as showing ICON sized images of persons listed in an EMAIL TO , CC or BCC lines. Of these only the LYNC syncing with the phones is new since the problem stared.
Any thoughts/ideas or suggestion are most appreciated.
