Create new profile and import existing profile emails, address book, settings

Hi,

I have an issue that hopefully someone can help me with.

I'm going to have to change my email addresses in the next week or so. I have already setup a new email addresses with a provider but haven't begun the process of changing my email addresses with all of my contacts. What I'd like to do is this:

Create new profiles in Outlook 2007 w/ the new email information.

Transfer existing profile emails, address book, settings, etc. to the new profiles so that each new profile is exactly as the existing one only with the new profile name.

Is this possible and if so how do you accomplish it? Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer me.

What I do: add the new account to the profile so you have the old account and new account together in the account. Change old account's outgoing address and servers to use the new account's smtp. When you reply to mail downloaded by the old account, the reply address will be the new account.

If the new account is POP3, it can use the same pst file you use now.

When the old account is no longer receiving new mail, remove it from the profile.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your reply. I guess I'm not sure what you mean or how to go about adding a new account into the old account (profile?) so they are together. Could you possibly provide a little more detail on how to accomplish this? Thanks again for your help and advise!

I figured out how to add the additional email account to the old profiles. I think I'm good to go now. Thanks again for your advise and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
