Outlook 2007 Task

To make it clear to all as to the details and the relatedquestions.



When I created the Task form, in the Page called P2, I addedto the Page P2 from the Control Toolbox two text boxes.



In my default form for contacts, I have added a Combobox andin the Value area as to Choose a Field is a Text Field that I created, the Typeis "Dropbown", the Property to Use is "Value", and thenunder Possible Values, I wrote in a list of words and phrases where at the endof each phrase is ";" which under the Combobox, each phrase shows uppart of a drop list, and I just identify which phrase I want to show in theCombobox field on the Contact.



And the other type of Combobox as to Choose a Field, is a Date/Timefield and nothing else to add to it, so in the field of the Date/Time in theContact, I just type in the appropriate date.





So when I open a contact and create the Task that is anAssign Task to the contact, or in the list of contacts, I click on a contact(not open it), go to Actions, Create, New Task For Contact, how can each"Text Box" in the Task receive the value decided from the drop listfrom a specific Combobox in the Contact.



Does anyone know the code and where I should put it please?

Yes. It can bring the value or copy it, but it needs to get the value.
 
I would appreciate the code as soon as you can!!
 
Any potential update re the code and where I put it??
 
Just wanted to keep reminding you so when you have time, you can put together the code and where I put it so when the contact is assigned to the task in the different ways, each textbox in the task in P2, gets the value decided from the droplist value in the combobox which is as part of the contact.

Is the name varvalue I replace the field name of the Textbox?

And do i replace the name ("TextBox1")?
 
Usually you can scroll all the way down and read the answer - but it's possible that it only works if you get there from a search engine. I'll check it and if it doesn't work, I'll remove the url. The site has a lot of good info but i despise members only crap.

As to the names etc.

The Display name of the Textbox in the P2 area of the Task Form is the words Textbox4

And should I in that Textbox under Value, Choose a Field, create a new text field or use the field of the Combobox from the Contact form?

And if I need to Choose a Field, whatever you tell me, is the name of the Textbox the name in the Display area or the name of the field I use.

And as to the name of the Combobox in the Contact form, if that is what I am replacing the words varvValue with, do I use the Display name or the field name of the Combobox?

So going forward, here are the names of each area so you will tell me what to fill in. And confirm the code is in the Task form not the Contact form.

As to the Combobox in the Contact form, the Display name is "NextStepCombobox1". And the name re the Field in the Value area is "Next Step" which has space between the words.

As to the Textbox in the Task from, the Display name is "TextBox4". And the name re the Field in the Value area is "Task Text Box Next Step" which has space between the words.

I hate taking a day off because the questions pile up. :) I will get to it as soon as i have a few hours free to look at it - it's not like the other things where it might take 30 minutes to point you in the right direction.
