My Outlook 2013 is set up with two emails: outlook.com and Gmail. I sync Gmail and outlook.com contacts/calendar using CompanionLink. This places my synced contacts in the Contact folder under the outlook.com email in Outlook. However, I still have a "Contacts (This computer only)" folder under my Gmail account in Outlook. How can I remove this extraneous Contact folder?
 
That contacts folder is in the gmail ost file. Is the gmail account set as your default email account? If not, you can remove the 'this computer only' folders by removing the imap ost file and letting outlook resync it.

Make sure those folders are empty. Close Outlook. Delete the gmail account's .ost file at %localappdata%\Microsoft\outlook (paste that line in the address bar of windows explorer and press Enter.) Restart Outlook.

Or you could or you could use MFCMAPI to delete the folders - see Delete outlook folders for instructions.
