Hi there,

perhaps some of you guys have experience with Business Contact Manager in

Outlook 2007.

When I try to import my sbb-backup file into Outlook again, it says

"You are not the owner"

I only installed Windows new - and now I am not the owner anymore?

Can anybody help?

All my BCM-data seems lost with this...

Regards,

Marc

Windows doesn't think the user that saved the backup and the current

Windows user are the same person.

You can get the database out of the sbb file, then as the current

Windows user (with sql admin permissions) you can get the database

mounted back on the sql service, and then take ownership of the

database. BCM should then have permission to connect to the db.

The details has been discussed before. Search this newsgroup or the

BCM team's blog.

Hi Luther,

thanks so much - can't find any other thread though.

Could you please point me to one that describes this for real dummies like me?

Regards,

Marc

Well, I just did it, and it took me a couple hours to figure out the

correct SQL from old posts and the docs. It's not trivial:

right click the"outlook"icon, left click "run as administrator", the the

problem resovled. I have encountered same problem with you.
