My new laptop came with Office 2013 Home & Student. Will Outlook 2013 work well even though not installed as part of a suite? I actually prefer Outlook 2010. If I added that what would I lose relative to adding Outlook 2013?
You can use either Outlook 2010 or 2013. Install it, then find a copy of winword.exe (it may work to copy an exe and rename rhe copy winword.exe) and place it in the folder with outlook.exe that Outlook 2010 installs. This will also most features to work. Sending documents using the file, Send menu in word 2013 and Excel 2013 might not work - you may need to say documents and attach to email instead, but otherwise it should work fine.
