I just installed Office Home & Business 2019 (C2R) here today, replacing Outlook 2013. One annoying thing I've discovered is the obsessive logging by all the Office apps in the temp folder. Each app writes a bunch of *.LOG files in %temp%\Diagnostics\Outlook,Excel,Word folders, and Outlook writes a bunch of *.ETL files in %temp%\Outlook Logging\. I have a script that runs when I login, which now deletes all that junk, but I'd like to stop Office from writing them in the first place.
Does anyone have any ideas or clues on stopping this? Troubleshooting logging is disabled in the Outlook options.
