BCM stops Outlook 2013

I am running Windows 8.1

Office Prof 2013 32 bit

It was running before upgrading from Windows 8.

Each time I start BCM Outlook shuts down.

Sometime a message pops ups "Starting SQL Server Service" and when I go to do anything Outlook crashes.

Any ideas, thanks John
 
That sounds a lot like the problems I'm having. I was told that it was caused by net framework - that net framework needed reinstalled but reinstalling it didn't fix the problems for me.

Next time you reboot, go to Services (Control panel, Administration tools) and see if SQL is running.

Sorry I am not that IT savvy so what am I looking for?

I have found the Administrative Tools, so where now.
 
Find Services in the list of tools and double click to open - then sort by Name and find the entries for SQL - i think they are under SQL but could be under Microsoft SQL. Look in the Status and Startup columns. Which ones are started and which are set to manual or disabled?
 
I have played around with the properties of

SQL Active Directory Helper Service

SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ)

SQL Server Agent (MSSMLBIZ)

SQL Server Browser

SQL Server VSS Writer

To automatic, manual and still get the same results Outlook crashing.

Any other ideas?
