Too many "contacts" lists

I have 4 Contacts lists.

One is empty because it uses my "junk" email address; that I use when I don't want to be bothered by spam. I would delete it but the option is greyed out.

Three seem to be duplicates; thought the one labeled "Suggested Contacts-Outlook Data File" seems to be the one that is most up to date; and the one I try to keep that way.

I'm not sure what is, or is not, in "Contacts" or "Suggested Contacts- [me]@cox.net". The both appear to duplicates of the one that is up to date but they are both may or may not contain all the contacts in the up to date file.

I have considered deleting all except the up to date "Data File" but the option is greyed out.

How can I clean up this mess, so all my contacts are in one place and every time I enter a name in the To: field this list of "contacts" doesn't pop up; leaving me to wonder when one I should be picking from?

How many email accounts and data files are in your profile? Go to the folder list - Ctrl+6 - and see where the extras are.

I have 1 Data file and two account files.

What is the difference between the contacts in the Data file, the Contacts in the account files and the contacts in the "Contacts" file?

Which one does Outlook default to; like when I save an email address, or enter one from scratch.

In my Fr... account I have NO to contacts; I only use this address when I'm registering on line accounts and I don't want to get junk mail in my mi... account.

It appears that the most current contact files are in the Data file. There are none; as I've said, in the Fr... account, but there are contacts in the mi..., and the "Contacts" list

I just want ONE "Contacts" list; so I don't have to keep trying to figure out what I'm doing and where I should be looking for my contacts.

btw I appreciate that we've been here before; you addressed this same question for me some time back, but I was never able to sort it out and let it go; out of frustration. But I have to deal with it now! Once and for all; and I appreciate your being back here to help me (-:
