Hi All
Does anyone know if there is a way of "permanently" displaying the Shortcuts folder in the navigation pane through some hidden customisation or VBA code, for example, rather than having to select the folder each time?
Thanks in advance
Brett

As in as 'use it as the default pane'? I think you could use VBA, I'll see if i have any samples.

If you just mean 'keep the shortcuts button visible' click the triangle expander (1) and choose nav pane options. Add a check to shortcuts and change the order.

How many display on screen depends on the width of the pane and whether the buttons are expanded (pulled up). Adjust either or both by pulling the edges (2 & 3)

Hi Diane
Thanks for your prompt response; yes what i would ideally like is for the shortcuts pane to be constantly visible (ideally at the top of the navigation pane) in the same way as Faourites appears with the users mailbos etc displayed below it. From what my limited knowledge would suggest it could probably only be achieved by way of VBA (if at all) .

So if you can find any samples that might deliver this that would be great; my VBA skill isn't advanced so forgive me in advance for providing anyhtiung you might find in laymans terms lol

Thanks very much Diane
Brett

Hi Diane

Yeah what I ideally want ia as shown below:

And / OR (depending on whether the User has selected the Mail or Folders button for display they want in the navigation pane)

I understandwith existing settings you can't get Shortcuts dispaly on startup but that's not what I'm after anyway unless of course a VBA can display it as well as the Mail and or Folder List view as above??

Surely that's not to much to ask for....lol??

Regards
Brett

OK thanks Diane at least I know now, thanks very much for your time

Brett

Hi,

Sorry to revive this post, but is it possible to just get the Shortcuts pane to display as default via VBA?

Regards,
Phil
