I've just begun using Office 365 and Windows 8.1 on new PC (previously used Office 2007 on Windows 7). I have two Gmail accounts, both which are configured exactly the same in Gmail settings, both showing POP enabled as well as IMAP enabled. When setting up email accounts in Outlook 365, the first one set up automatically with Outlook's tool as a POP account. The second Gmail account set up automatically as an IMAP account. I have deleted the account and tried to set up manually as POP account yet it fails with server error messages. I have checked and double checked account settings for first email in Outlook setting up second account exactly the same, yet I still get error messages. The only way I have been able to set up the second account is as an IMAP (how Outlook wants to set it up) but then I have two inboxes to check email in and I only want one as was set up in previous Outlook 2007 (all emails were pop accounts and worked perfectly). I'm not sure why one account set up as POP and the other as IMAP with same settings yet I cannot change the IMAP account to be a POP. Please help, thank you.
