OL16: I have some contacts that have more than one cell phone number. I also have an iphone. I sync OL to iphone using Companionlink (I don't think that this is instrumental to the problem). I can add a note to the cell phone number (eg " 111-111-1234 Sarah cell ") in Outlook to id the number, which will then sync to iphone, and show up in them iphone address book. Problem is that iphone isn't smart enough to figure out how to send text to a phone number that has text following the number.
I can set a custom labeled phone field in iphone, which help me identify the phone number in contact list, but this labeled field doesn't sync to Outlook.
I hate to inflate my address book with new contact listing, and the time taken to set them up, just to deal with this.
Is there a way around this issue?
Does OL19 accept custom labeled phone fields?
Is there some secret (I've tried a number of things) way to format the number in OL so that iphone isn't confused?
Jeffrey
