Syncing Outlook and Google Calendar: What's Your Method?

Hello. A little everyday hassle that’s been lingering since the start of the school year: at the office, I manage vacation schedules and accounting deadlines in Outlook. The problem is that I also have to sync the kids’ activities with the Google Calendar I share with my wife, and the two weren’t syncing at all anymore. The result: missed appointments and duplicate entries everywhere for three weeks.

After a few headaches and two or three futile attempts, I finally managed to get everything synced up properly using a tool that syncs Outlook and Google Calendar. No more unpleasant surprises in the morning. What method do you use to keep a shared calendar perfectly up to date across multiple devices and apps without getting everything mixed up?
