Outlook 2013 and Surface RT synchronisation problem

I have a Surface RT version1 which was working fine with Outlook 2010 and synchronising my email, contact and calendar. The lastest update converted this to Outlook 2013, at which point I lost the calendar and contacts, but retained the e-mails. I have an IMAP account running on the Surface and a POP account on the PC. I would like to know how to set up outlook 2013 to synchronise my calendar and contacts again. The PC with the calendar etc. is running Outlook 2010.

How did you install outlook 2010 on the RT? How were you syncing to the account? Outlook 2013 would use the same method. If you were using the native RT app, what type of email account did you use with it?

(Outlook 2010 won't install on RT.)
 
The surface RT came with office 2010 preinstalled. I am using Office 2010 on the PC but since I use gmail, I had to set up a link account via outlook.com to synchronise the two Outlook programs on the PC and Surface.
On the surface, I forgot to mention, that although it is synchronising e-mail ok, the calendar and contacts has the phrase "This computer only" at the top. I tested the people and calendar features on the surface this morning and both synchronise correctly, so the issue is with the "This computer only" I presume.
 
But Outlook wasn't included on the RT until Surface 2 - RT (Surface 1) had word, excel, powerpoint.

'This computer only' indicates it's an imap account and you are using those folders for calendar and contacts, not the same setup you used before (outlook.com account maybe?) You can get rid of those folders if you set a different data file as default, but unless its an outlook.com data file or you use an exchange account, you won't be able to sync calendar and contacts with the desktop outlook.
