BCM new Build?

Hi

After checking this thread https://forums.slipstick.com/threads/92594-bcm-2010-or-2013/ I noticed that a new build of BCM will be released.
Instead of hijacking it I started a new thread to cover this topic.

Could we get more details regarding the new BCM Build?
Is it already released and available for download?

What is the patching/installation procedure?

It's in the final stages before release will be "soon" but I'm not 100% sure what the internal process is so it could be any day or not for a month. I'm expecting it in a Patch Tuesday, but it could be in the bunch that often come at the end of the month. Or any time in between.

It will be a new version, it will require you to uninstall the old and install the new. I reset/refreshed Windows 8 and have it installed with a new database. It seems fine, but at nearly a year of BCM not working, I'm not using it much.

No, but I will contact support and ask what is taking so long. I really thought it would be out by the end of Sept.

Oh, did you ever run into this: "the business contact record must have a name before it can be saved" ? One guy who tried the new BCM is getting that error. I hope it's not delayed because it's still buggy.

(and it looks like I need to change the double post settings - they shouldn't merge after like 5 minutes)

I'm still waiting for the german version.
I tried installing the english version (I'm using office in german) but the installer is throwing an error message: "program stopped responding" or something similar.

latest info is "hoping within a week or so". I might get a couple of hours to a day or so advanced notice.

Hmm. I wonder if this was your problem
"... some ran into a crashing issue. This was caused by BCM not being code signed."

all of the code in the final package will be signed - not sure why it wasn't in the download they provided for testing.

The update has build version 4.00.12006.00.
My build version is showing: 4.00.12929.00

Do I need to uninstall my current version and install the version from the above mentioned link?
