Reminders keep appearing without being requested

CleaningMan

I have just started inputing accounts and contacts into Business Contact

Manager. However after ever entry i get a reminder notice highlighting the

item. It doesn't matter whether i mark the item as closed, or dismiss it, it

keeps re-appearing. As i enter more and more contacts and accounts the

reminder list is growing all the time as i can't get rid of the items. I am

familiar with how to set up reminders and have done that successfully on some

accounts and contacts, but don't understand why i'm geting reminders for

accounts and contacts for which i haven't set a reminder. Even if i go back

to an account and attach a file, i then get a reminder listing the file name

that i attached ! Is there some sort of default setting that keeps bringing

these reminders up ?
 
Did you notice this behavior after install Business contact manager ? or was

is there before as well

I get the same reminders.

I setup BCM to share over the network using the Admin Tool. I have gotten

complains from different user about constant reminders that would not go

away. If you try to dismiss all at once, the reminder windows will not

disappear, unless I dismiss each at once. Whether I close the reminders or

dismiss each one separately, the reminders will appear again. I tried looking

at different options to see if anything could trigger them, but I haven't

found anything.

Users did not have this problem before installing BCM.

Hi Jorge

Can you get the user to try the following steps when he /she report the

problem

Download and install MFCMAPI on the affected users box

http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=13983

1. Make sure Outlook is closed

2. Using MFCMAPI

3. Open the users profile

4. Choose Business Contact Manager

5. Expand Root Folder

6. Expand Finder

7. Delete the BCMReminders folder

8. Close MFCMAPI

Let me know if this works

I've run through this process once (about a month ago).. and this issue has

now popped up again. I'm getting error now when trying to delete the

BCMReminders folder.

Real question is.. why on earth is this happening in the first place...

seems like a bug to me. I am thinking I should remove the connection between

Accounting 2009 and BCM. This is ridiculous.
