Folks,
Odd problem - I'm using Outlook 2013 from a 365 install (32 bit version running on win 8.1 64 bit OS). I've downloaded and installed the full version of BCM. I was able to see and work with the sample data when I first installed BCM from my regular user account (i.e. I did not have to run outlook as administrator).
I then created a new BCM DB for my own user. This caused Outlook to crash after the DB was created.
I then ran outlook using a right click, "run as administrator", everything works - I was able to restore data from my last BCM backup.
Running outlook as a regular use, BCM isn't shown, so I go into options, add-ins, manage add-ins for .com and I click on the two BCM entries. Pressing OK, I wait about 10-15 seconds and BCM fails to run. After that outlook crashes.
Oddly, if I select only one option (either BCM for Outlook, or BCM Loader for outlook) on the manage add-ins, BCM starts to work. However, in this case, I close outlook and run outlook as a regular user again, and the add-in I selected has the check mark cleared.
At the moment, I seem to have two options if I want to use BCM and Outlook 2013:
1) I can go to the start screen and run outlook as an administrator
2) I can go into manage add-ins whenever I want to use BCM, select one of the BCM options and not the other, but I need to do this every time.
Anyone have any idea what might be going on?
