Hi,
I have outlook 2010 32 bit installed and was trying to get my calendar to sync with my iphone. Following instructions from the Apple website i installed icloud on my computer and the icloud add in for Outlook.
The sync worked fine initially, with all my appointments appearing on the phones calendar. However i was no longer able to edit any appointments on my original calendar in Outlook with the pop up message "you cannot make changes to the contents of this read only folder". I was able to edit the added icloud calendar, but the changes wouldn't sync to my original calendar or iphone. My original calendar is a shared internet calendar on a Webdav server - allowing my area manager to see my appoinments. With it not updating i removed icloud hoping it would return my editing permission to the setting prior to installing icloud. This failed and i now have no way to edit MY calendar in Outlook. I have searched for a way to return my Outlook calendar to the settings prior to installing icloud with no luck. I tried a system restore to a point prior to installing icloud also with no luck.
I would greatly appreciate any help to return my calendar to it's original permission settings.

ps. The permissions button is greyed out.
Regards

Ian

My original calendar is a shared internet calendar on a Webdav server - allowing my area manager to see my appoinments.
This calendar would not be editable in Outlook regardless - Internet calendars are always read only.

What is typical for publishing calendars, is using the calendar in the pst file and syncing that to the WebDAV server. The default calendar in the pst would be editable - however, iCloud sucks everything from the pst calendar and puts it into the iCloud calendar, so that calendar should be empty in Outlook.

Use Ctrl+6 to switch to the folder list - this way you can see the folders and see where each calendar is. If the default calendar is empty, you need to sign back into iCloud and copy everything over to the calendar in your pst.

Hi Diane,

Thank you so much for your reply. After reading it i have managed to import my original calendar from icloud and back into Outlook where it now shows it as a personal calendar with full editing permissions. After this i think i may give icloud a miss to sync calendars in the future.

Best Regards

Ian
