Outlook.com calendar not uploading to Outlook 2013 calendar.

Hi there! I just set up a new Outlook 2013 on a windows 8.1 computer. I have my main account as an IMAP (Comcast) and a Hotmail.com (outlook.com) account for calendar and contacts. 1. I have all of my calendar in outlook.com but none of it will sync to Outlook 2013 so my calendar is empty. How can I force sync to import what I have on my calendar currently? 2. when I put an appointment on my phone (windows 8) is shows up in outlook.com and but not Outlook 2013. 3. If I put an appointment on outlook.com, it shows up on my phone but not my Outlook 2013
 
You have the account set up as an Active Sync account but it's not syncing to the calendar and contacts folder in the Hotmail data file? It won't sync to your original calendar, only to the calendar in the outlook.com data file.
 
I fixed the send/receive issues, closed and reopened and suddenly my calendar was there. I give up understanding why..just happy it got fixed.
