Changed the "sender" account and lost all my text

Just typed up a long email and decided to send it from one of my other email accounts. I went to the "from" button to access the drop down box, selected my other "from" email account and then all the text in my email disappeared. Is there any way to recover my lost type? I tried edit undo and ctrl z to no avail.

No, sorry, you can't recover it. You were typing in the signature field and when you changed accounts, you changed the signature. I recommend adding -- (two dashes) as the first line of every signature so you know where it begins and use a "blank" signature on all accounts you don't want to have a signature - the blank signature is just those two dashes.
 
I will make that change - and I'm pleased to understand what happened. Thank you for your help!
