I recently had to change passwords for some different work locations. Each location has a various version of Outlook or Outlook Express but nothing older than 2002, and various Windows operating systems.
A few locations I had problems, where after changing their password they could not send or receive email. Now, I've verified their email address and password are correct by trying it on my computer and then using VNC to set up their email (and re-setup and re-setup....). Also, we do not require authentication for sending and now these few branches cannot send or receive email.
We use Kaspersky antivirus. I've tried disabling email scanning and disabling it entirely and that didn't seem to help. I also tried resetting the tcp/ip stack (something I read to try) and that had no effect on the one branch I tried it on. I get various errors of the 0x8ooCCC...
I will add that most of the password updates went smoothly but 5/30 coincided with this new problem. It's starting to baffle me and my eyes are crossed and rolling into the back of my head.
Any suggestions?
