iCloud Outlook Calendar is read only

I have Outlook 2007. Since iCloud2, appointment dialog boxes are 'read-only'. In the open appointment box there are only 'appointment' and 'developer' tabs, no 'insert' or 'format text' tabs. I have tried to re-install both Outlook and iCloud to no avail. No other function seems disturbed and it syncs fine. Any thoughts?

Are all appointments affected or just meetings (& appointments icloud thinks are meetings) ? For whatever reason, Outlook and/or icloud decided some holidays are really meetings. I'm pretty sure that was outlook's doing, but those are the only appointments that are read only in the icloud here.
