iCloud Control Panel -- 1 vs 2

I've read about all the things that the new iCloud (v2) control panel has added, but I'm curious, are there any things that version 1 could do that version 2 cannot?
 
Rich text appointments - v2 appointments don't support a rich text editor for notes. (I think it was removed as a bug fix for formatting issues. )

That is the only thing I can think of offhand.
