Hi, I have a user that has shared tasks setup in Oulook 2003. There are 11 other users in his team, out of the 11, 10 are able to connect and work fine with the tasks except one. We have added the user in the permissions to get access and be able to see the tasks but as soon as you close the permissions and reopen them the user has gone. It only appears to be happening to this single user.

Any help welcome.
 
You should be able to put quite a few names in permissions, so it's not "full" (unless there are a lot more than these 11 people with permission to the folder) - but the recommended way to assign permissions is by creating a group in the AD, make the 11 members of the group then give the group permission to the folder.

Are there any error messages anywhere - start in the event log on the server.
 
Unfortunately I can't get access to the server logs. The issue lies with one specific user, the rest are fine. The users are added locally rather than through AD as there is a high turn over of staff and it is easier to manager if they are done locally. All the other users are ok, as soon as you add the troublesome user in the permissions check the relevant permissions, click ok they don't even show in the list of permissioned users. They just disappear as soon as you click ok. There are no error messages displaying, just the steps above and then back to nothing. I have tried the same with the calendar but they get the same. I tried with other users and they work fine, so I'm wondering if there is something account permissions based?
