Sync color categories on a Public Calendar across Office 365, PCs, Macs

Our company uses Calendars in Public Folders to track specific types of events across teams, such as external marketing communications. We have a mixed set of Mac and PC clients, all connecting to Office 365 for our Exchange server. Is there any way for us to sync color categories across all users of these public calendars?

The colors are per user, so the categories need to be set per-user, otherwise then users will see the category as white when they open an item but won't see the category name on the category list.

Windows: Yes, you can either use GPO (colors won't be sync'd) or a utility or vba to make the category lists the same for all users. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/outlook-categories-and-color-categories/ for links to utilities and VBA.

I'm not 100% sure this will work with the mac, I haven't really looked into how categories are stored and managed on it.
