Outlook.com premium finally dying... what do I do with my domain?

Hey all,

I was one of the first users of the 5 user outlook.com premium. Last Feb, MS announced that they were killing it. I was able to renew before the expiration date to give me some more time. In July I tried to follow support and was transferred a bunch of times and told that if i got o365 (renamed Microsoft 365 family) I would be fine. (I needed a 6th email anyways for my family...) so I bought it, and a week and after a few different tech support calls, and texts etc. i thought I was ok.
However, I just recently got the annual service expiration email that told me to move the domain again. I just went through 4 hours of chat and bouncing around tech support again (at least 5 techs), I was told I needed to create a new business MS365 etc for ~$50 a month.
How do i get someone with a clue?

Support is wrong - and you aren't the first person who was told that by support in the last few weeks.

Do you own the domain or did Microsoft register it for you? That notice appears to say Microsoft owns the domain and you need to get it in your name.

Assuming the address you registered with on this forum is the one the notice was about, Microsoft still owns it - you need it in your name and to move the registrar to godaddy.

Thanks Diane for your reply...

Yes, that is the domain we are talking about. The transfer your domain page as a screenshot is attached. I have not just done it because getting my family with all working together for an email change is pain-filled (Yahoo to Hotmail to gmail back to outlook premium...)

So after step 1. unlock and step 2. transfer... what will I need to do next?

After unlocking it, you will go to godaddy and start the transfer - you'll enter the authcode and they will process it. I forget how long it takes. As soon as its transferred, you can finish the set up.
