Currently when I click on the people selection (left hand pane) I get an list in AZ order, though with first name first, for example:

tony Adams

charles Boffin

andy Cameron

john Doe

How do I change it to Last Name, First Name ?

In my Contacts List, when selecting who to send an email to, it is in this format (last name, first name).

Thanks in advance.

The address book can be sorted by file as or first last. (File, Account settings, address book tab, double click on address book)

Open a contact - is it first last in the file as field?

Go to View ribbon, View settings - what is the sort order?

In my outlook, it looks like it's messed up - file as is last, first as is the sort order but they are shown in first last format.

Actually, no they are not messed up - they are sorted by last names but the view uses full name format. I do not like that at all.

Gingie - The address book is "Outlook Address Book" - It is set to "File As"

Open a contact - is it first last in the file as field?

Gingie - The "Name"field at the top of the form is "First Last"

Go to View ribbon, View settings - what is the sort order?

Gingie - "File As" and accending

Gingie - The People list is sorted by family names, though shows in the format first name, family name, which I would like to switch.

Gingie - If I click the "To" in a email draft the address book tab pops open. The first two columns are "Name" sorted family name in the format family name, first name and "Display Name" sorted by family name though in the format first name, last name.

Any ideas on how to get the list to sort by family name and show each entry as family name, first name ?

Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify - The sort order is correct, though the view is first name, last name, which I want to change to last name, first name.

Right, sort is correct, although confusing if your contacts have the names in the wrong fields. At this time it can't be changed but it is on the list of things that the product group is looking at changing.

Do you have any idea how long this could be ?

No, not really. I'm guessing not before SP1 time frame, at the earliest. They didn't say for sure it would be change, only that they added it to the list of People Hub complaints to review.
